Some figure drawing sketches and a doodle (center). I host model sessions, but I can never really seem to get into drawing anymore…until recently.
I was given the awesome opportunity to host a model session at an amazing company today. Want a hint?
Sketches from last night’s model session. Getting paid to draw is great, but having the opportunity to focus on my weaknesses (without having to do homework every session) is even better.
Needed to bust out a quick personal thing in the middle of finals and contract work before I go nuts.
Two things from my figure drawing class last night that I found interesting. Not necessarily well done, but interesting.
Saturday seems to be a more ‘hit-or-miss’ day than others. I always end up with fewer drawings worth showing.
Using this for the front of my portfolio site. Needs a change.
I’ve found my stress always seems to melt away a degree when at Figure Drawing Sessions. The opposite is done when I visit the DOL/DMV.
Doing drapery-over-figure studies. Done in a combination of black ballpoint and gray & black Tombos.
From today’s session. A male with a slender, somewhat feminine body, with great poses was just what I needed.
Been studying some Dreamworks animators / story artists works.
Gestures and sketches from tonight’s figure session. It’s a damn shame when you can’t do justice to the model’s poses and overall beauty.
The model made me super nostalgic for California. I also got a heavy smack of deja vu. Weird stuff.
