Started painting. Then I realized that I can’t paint. So…yep.
Some sketches of a familiar face that I sometimes go back to. Poor guy gets neglected a lot. When I’m up at 1am and can’t stand doing homework, his production bible and story gets polished.
Didn’t really have a direction or plan with this from the get go, just tried having some fun since I don’t usually find the time to draw anymore. Hopefully I’ll find a way to make it better and finish it up.
Warm up, haven’t drawn Nauta in far too long.
Sorry for the absence as of late; winter break’s been busier than expected.
Taking a mix of suggestions from both feelingsheepish and foggu, here’s an Eijou Capitol girl feeding a Burnt Beak Thrushel.
Yeah, I don’t show many girls from Nauta’s world, but trust me, they exist! And there’s some important ones!
Side History Lesson: Blue is a color not commonly worn in the capitol. Although primarily worn by Shikishi sympathizers, the Shikishi haven’t been seen in hundreds of years.
Halfway through coloring this, I realized it’s way similar to the first pose I revealed Renoir in. Ehhhhhhhhh.
Renoir is the only known wielder of magic in Nauta’s world. Every action is calculated, every outcome is considered. The only thing preventing Renoir from achieving their end goal from the start is the speed at which their actions it must be approached. Time is continually shrinking for Nauta.
Forcing myself to take a breather tonight. Here’s a monkey from Nauta’s world.
If anyone’s curious; yes, the tattoos on Nauta and on others have some significance.
